Denny and his wife, Alexis, returned to Highland County to build their life and raise their family in the community that shaped him. Their three children, Ally and twins Aidan and Ethan, are now young adults, and Highland County remains the place they always call home.

Lifelong Career in Law and Public Service

Denny began his career as an investigative caseworker with Highland County Children Services. He then served in law enforcement with the Highland County Sheriff’s Office, achieving the rank of sergeant and investigating hundreds of child abuse cases. He was designated a master criminal investigator and served on the Special Response Team.

Denny then entered private practice as an attorney, focusing extensively on matters within the Juvenile and Probate Court. He has represented clients in abuse, neglect, and dependency cases, as well as in probate matters involving estates, guardianships, adoptions and families navigating significant life transitions.

In addition, Denny has served for more than two decades as a Guardian ad Litem, advocating for the best interests of children involved in court proceedings.
